Gugudan really just randomly fell off and this was the comeback where it all started. I guess people thought it was weird, but like that's the point. It's goofy and fun, I miss whacky Kpop songs like these. Where else are you gonna see Sejeong as Goku in a chocolate fantasy world? On top of that it's a super catchy song that'll never leave your head.
Gugudan had a very promising start like most Produce groups. But usually after that first comeback if you don't have a hit it's kinda over. They made a comeback a few months later with their member 9th member on hiatus returning. Hyeyeon then officially left the team, and they made one last comeback. She is currently pursuing a career as an actress. They spent years on hiatus and Jellyfish officially announced their disbandment on the last day of 2020. Hana is pursuing acting nowdays. Mimi got married to Thunder formerly of MBLAQ. They currently promote in a duo together. Haebin vlogs currently on YouTube. Nayoung is signed to a new label and will probably act in projects. Sally competed on Produce Camp China in 2020 and made the final lineup of Bon Bon Girls ranking 6th place. As one would expect, she kinda relocated back to China. Soyee is the only member who isn't up to much. The I.O.I girls have been pretty successful. Mina has appeared in famous Kdramas in supporting roles, the most famous being Hotel Del Luna. Sejeong of course has been the one who really took off. She has been the lead in hit drama after hit drama. She also has had a moderately successful solo career.
