On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Face Off by A6P
This was a super energetic debut! Back when boy groups actually had melodies for a chorus and not just a beatdrop. They kinda remind me of Vixx a little bit, those late 2nd gen/early 3rd gen groups. I also think it was a cool idea how they one by one ripped off their masks and revealed their faces (makes sense with the title of the song). Although kinda weird one member kept his face covered the whole time. even during promos and interviews he kept his mask on.
Sadly A6P didn't last long at all. This was the only song they released. They had lots of anticipation, especially to see the sixth members face, but they officially disbanded one year after debut. Ado, the masked member re-debuted in the group My.st with his real name Won Cheol (he's actually quite handsome). Sadly that group disbanded last year. Jungyeon, the leader, debuted solo a couple years ago and competed on Mister Trot. He's been doing OSTs and recently started promoting as a trot artist and regularly posts on his YouTube channel which is moderately successful. Jaguar competed on Boys 24 and Produce 101 after disbandment. He then re-debuted as Insoo in the boy group OTC (off the cup). They also sadly disbanded in 2021. He is SUPER successful on Tik Tok with over 2 million followers! Jelly-P redebuted in the group Build Up. They also likely quietly disbanded in 2021. Actin seems to be a choreographer now, he's constantly in a practice room and also regularly uploads on YouTube. Many of the members haven't been super successful in Kpop post-disbandment. At least some have found small success in different entertainment media.
