On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Exquisite! by Cocosori
Cocosori, one of the first girl groups to tackle the quirky concept after Orange Caramel. This was their first comeback and I liked it even better than their debut. They were loads of fun and this video makes me laugh.
It's really sad how things didn't work out for this duo. After this comeback they auditioned for a Kdrama, idolm@ster. Sori made it as a main cast member, and Coco had a small role. Meanwhile Coco made a name for herself as one of the first Kpop vloggers. Then Sori auditioned for Mix Nine representing the Kdrama and she actually made the top 9, but nobody from Mix Nine ended up debuting. Coco auditioned for the Unit but didn't pass. She also made her solo debut. Cocosori made one more comeback with a tropical house EDM sound. That ended up being their last comeback. Coco made a solo comeback and Sori made her debut. Sori's debut actually did decent for a lesser known artist. This lead to animosity within the group and Coco ended up getting sued by her label for slander and the duo split up, though Coco did win the lawsuit. Coco still vlogs today and Sori tried pursuing a solo career. She was on a reality show for dancers that was kinda popular cause she had good chemistry with this dude. I think she left her label a couple years ago and is now independent.
