On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Oppa is Trash by Pocket Girls
Pocket Girls are one of those fancam groups and they're known for being former racing models and having SO MANY LINEUP CHANGES. They've gone through like 15 girls and only released two songs. That being said this song is so good and should have gone viral. It's funny and catchy and the cheap quality MV and stiff dancing kinda adds to the humor.
Almost immediately after this song was released, the girl with pink hair left the group. Then another member left shortly afterwards. Jieun (the first girl) is the only original member. She's actually a great vocalist. Hanbit stayed with the group for a long time but I don't know if she's still a member. I don't even know if Pocket Girls still exists. They still post things on a youtube channel, but they don't perform at all. It's like after the pandemic they gave up performing and just decided to be racing models again. Idk the promotions are really messy.
