On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is We Don't Stop by Fiestar
Fiestar is a very underappreciated group. A name many people have heard of and many popular individual members, but as a team they never released a hit. We Don't Stop is probably their most underrated song. This was actually my first Fiestar song and one of the songs that got me into Kpop. The chorus of this song is addictingly catchy.
Fiestar disbanded in 2018, 6 years after their debut. They continued as a 5 member group after Cheska departed. She went solo but later retired from the music industry. Yezi is the only member still pursuing music. She got attention after appearing on season 2 of Unpretty Rapstar and debuted with a hardcore rap image. Since then she has also released powerful vocal ballads and latin inspired songs. Jei got married! Hyemi had an indie music career under the stage name YEL but hasn't released anything in awhile. Hyemi and Yezi revealed they never made any money while promoting as Fiestar.
