On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Dreamer by History.
Usually everything IU touch becomes a hit, but this was kinda before she had the unstoppable power she has now. History were here labelmates and this was their debut. I think it's a masterpiece. It sounds like something Queen would release, the intro is magical, the piano is pretty, and the vocals are great.
After a debut like this, I would have guessed they'd be a top tier boy group, but alas they never got the attention they deserved. The team disbanded 4 years after their debut. As their career went on they tried branding themselves as a sexy boy group and those songs got some attention but not enough to keep them alive. Yijeong has been very successful as a producer writing songs for BTS, TXT, Heize, and IU. I think he's signed to Bighit as a producer. Jaeho debuted as a solo artist called Nano. Kyungil also debuted as a solo artist and is pretty active.
