On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Paradise by S.E.S.
You'd think that the 20th anniversary of the Kpop group that basically started the whole industry would have been a bigger deal. It kinda massively underperformed. The album entered the charts at #7 and the next week dropped to #65. And listen, this song is SO GOOD! It really captures the classic S.E.S. sound. The song almost feels like a time capsule. Even before MMD, S.E.S. proved that women in their late 30s still got it, two of them were moms at the time.
S.E.S. sadly hasn't released any music since their reunion. Bada got married and gave birth to a daughter two years ago. She's released OSTs, done variety shows, and performed in musicals. Shoo, sadly has gotten in trouble with the law for gambling overseas, so she hasn't been in public eye too much. She recently made a comeback by appearing in a documentary. Eugene has transitioned to acting and appeared in the hit series, Penthouse: War in Life.
