This type of sound was somewhat popular in boy groups in 2019. It has Latin inspiration, but isn't just a carbon copy of Latin music sung in Korean. I like the sound a lot personally. This ended up being my favorite boy group debut that year if I'm not mistaken

1the9 were a temporary group formed out of a survival show called Under19. They made a few comebacks together. They officially disbanded a year after debut in 2020. One member is currently in Omega X. One member is in Ciipher. One member is in JustB. Two members are in WEi. The other members have not re-debuted.
