In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Take It by MVP
MVP were a decent boy group who I think had lots of potential. I feel like 3rd was the last era that had good beatdrops. It's energetic and catchy. Songs like these have potential to be really messy with clunky transitions but each part flows really nicely into each other.
MVP sadly weren't very lucky with their careers. They competed on The Unit and only a couple members passed the audition and nobody made it super far. Then they went on a super long hiatus. I assumed they'd just silently disbanded but they released their first comeback after 2 years without losing any members. Since then though, they lost two members and released one more comeback that didn't even have a music video. Rayoon announced on instagram they disbanded last year. The members are still pretty close and meet up.
