In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Starlight by Secret Number
This was one of my favorite comebacks from last year. It's such a happy fun summery song. I also really appreciate how it's longer than 3 minutes because these short songs are killing me. If this were any other group, they would have stopped the song at 3:23, but they repeated the "ha ha" part one last time with some adlibs and THAT'S WHAT WE'RE MISSING IN KPOP NOWADAYS. I love Dita's vocals and I love watching Minji perform. Jinny is also arguably the best female rapper on the 4th gen.
This was Secret Number's most recent comeback. I know Dita has been doing some variety stuff lately and she's going to be in a project group called Triple Iz which consistents of Non-Korean women active in the industry right now. I'm sad that as Secret Number's quality has increased (in my personal opinion) their fandom has kinda decreased. Hopefully they have their big moment soon.
