In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Rilla Go! by DGNA
DGNA aka Daikoku Danji aka Dae Guk Nam Ah aka The Boss had a somewhat small following back in the day. Like they were still nugu but they weren't at the bottom of the iceberg. All those name changes didn't help lol. A lot of their songs were more vocal oriented, so this was a step outside of their comfort zone with a dance track. I think they did a good job and I love the energy of this song, it really hypes you up.
This was the last song they released for a long time, but 5 years later they actually made a comeback and without any lineup changes. Unfortunately the five didn't really stay together after that comeback. Hyunmin is not active anymore, he seems to be focusing on art. Mika officially left the team and is continuing as a solo artist, mainly in Japan under the stagename MikaL. The remaining three members are still active together. They competed on Peak Time but withdrew from the competition due to one member attending a party with a Japanese AV actress. But don't worry that's not the end of these three. They re-debuted last month with two new guys in a group called ASC2NT. It must be crazy starting over after 14 years in the industry, I wish them the best of luck.
