In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Red Lips by Camila
Musically this trio sounds very 3rd gen even though I think they techincally debuted in the 4th gen. They clearly don't have the biggest budget, but they're making the most of what they have. The song is super catchy and they're really pretty, not much else to say. One of the members is the CEO of her company so that's pretty cool.
Camila have a confusing history. They made one more comeback then officially disbanded. However Choim and Yubeen announced they'd be coming back in a sub-unit called Camila X. Unfortunately that re-debut never happened. In 2019 she was the host for the Soul Music Awards and gained a lot of attention for her stunning dress. She has competed in multiple variety shows since including Miss Trot 2 and a romance show called Love Catcher. Currently she is a solo artist and it looks like she plays for a football team. Yubeen has re-debuted and failed to re-debut so many times it's hard to keep track. And each time she re-debuts she changes her stagename usually to some variation of the romanization of Yubeen. She was supposed to re-debut with Zin formerly of D-Unit in a duo called Queens. The debut got cancelled. Then Camilla X's re-debut was cancelled. Then she did redebut with POA, but they disbanded months after debut. Currently she is set to re-debut in a trio called On Air but I am not hopeful they'll debut given her track record and members are leaving that group even before they started. She has tried re-debuting in EIGHT groups! Yuna, I have no updates.
