Display MoreNo need to recall what happened to GFriend in 2021.
Viviz has established itself to some degree, and Yerin is finally going some places, while Sowon and Yuju are drifting around here and there, taking whatever jobs available.
However, GFriend's legacy appears to have influenced the future of Hybe a lot, since no group can be secure.
The behavior of New Jeans members cannot be explain adequately without GFriend. All of them went through Source Music, GFriend's old company, and some of the trainees might have known GFriend.
The NJ members would be very, very aware that the only person who can protect them is MHJ, since Hybe can discard them very easily like they did to GFriend, whose departure they had seen with their own eyes. Once MHJ is gone, Hybe will just milk them for whatever worth they might have, and discard them when their contracts run out.
The chief problem is that such kind of treatment could be given to any act under the Hybe organization. No one is truly safe , except BTS itself. Nuest dissolved, although Pledis, which has some degree of independence, did keep Baekho (partially because he was cheated out of Wanna One) and Hwang Minhyun (now mostly an actor). Seventeen is doing great but Fromis 9, whose contract runs out in a couple of months, will probably not be retained.
txt, who knows. Enhypen is doing nonstop full tour circles, Nonstop as I have said before
ThreadEnhypen starts a new circle of tours just after its last tour ended - will it happen to other Hybe acts?Enhypen just finished a 411 days, 42 stops tours (Korea, Asia and USA) called Fate World Tour.
It ended on Sep 1.
However, on Sep 2, Belieflab announced that a new arc of tours will commence, called Walk the Line.
https://weverse.io/enhypen/notice/21925
It will have its first concert at the Goyang Stadium, a seldom used spot but first used as a concert venue by Seventeen recently. It usually stays empty, and was used as the venue to play futsal in ISAC.
Then it will go to a dome tour in Japan, atโฆ
meaning Hybe is going to suck the last drop as long as it could. Its re-signing, which will flow into Illit's resigning, will probably not be pretty.
GFriend's departure basically made all Hybe acts quite insecure - they could be cut anytime.
Seventeen re-signed on 2021, and it is said that its second contract will expire in 2026. SInce they can produce themselves, it is quite possible that it won't continue with Hybe and incorporate themselves.
And who knows what will happen to BTS in 2027.
I don't know about Katseye since Geffen has a stake on it so I don't know how the contract is structured on it.
Karma is a b____ and GFriend is probably going to haunt Hybe for quite a while.
But isnt fromis9 finally doing super well with their latest release? Im in korea atm and many shops have playlists with their song included.
Maybe because they are kpop Fans ad thats what kpop Fans do.
A company debuts a group and portrait them as perfect. some time later the very same company produce a scandal over the group. In the past it was ok just have this idol was seen smoking, that idol have a relationship or this idol hast been drinking. Now that people dont care about that anymore they have to step up the game to keep up the drama and people keep talking about them.
Maybe Hybe, mhj and all the groups sitting together and laughing because they are no.1 in the news and all the fans are super engaged. Doesnt matter if they support this group or that group. They get all the views and clicks and comments and money.
Its not like nj, lsfm, illit or bts doing so bad compaired to lets say lightsum.
75% ?? DamnโฆSo many companies still donโt understand that happy employees also mean better productivity!
My company usually knows that. and i love my company. We have better condition than the average. It was just one wrong choice one CEO made. But yeah even one wrong decision can cause serious damage. Live can be hard. Thankfully i bought myself a helmet.
Display MoreAll trainee started at child age. Then all idol parents are bad parent. Including your idol parents and yourself, fans of kpop who support them. And also your idols, because they decided to be idols. Oh my God, world is so messed up !!!!
.
.
.
.
.
.
This is not true.
I dont want to get involved in this hybe, mhj, nj mess.
But i have to say even in a messed up world you can still be as decent human being.
So dont put the messed up kpop behavior on my Idols and their parents and me and my parents. I was raised well. Kim minyoung, nam yujeong, Hong eunji and lee yuna are not like that.
Also i met minyoung yesterday and she is so pretty in real live that i nearly got a heart attack.
I think employees should always be able to voice their opinions. Doing it in Public depends on the misstreatment they face.
Being ignored or sidelined is not really a problem as long as you still get paid.
Being harrased, insulted or even violence is a complete different Story. That makes people sick, get them burnedout etc.
I only know about salaries between around 50k-300k, not millions. But Most people cant stand constant insults no matter how much money it is. In that case they better get out to not receive constant damage to their health. And in that case its totally fair to call out your employer for giving you Burnout or mental damage.
I dont take hate from antis into consideration because that is a given in that workplace. But how the company tries to protect you from said antis should be taken into consideration.
I dont know how serious the Situation ist for Newsjeans. So i have no opinions about their case.
Yep
Also to ad on from the past like 3-4 years about former members of KPop-groups:
- U-KISS had a comeback with most of their former members, I think the only people who didn't re-joined had been Kevin and Jun (Jun joined the group a few years ago and left them after like 2 or 3, he was also a lot younger than the others)
- When Love left the KPop-group OnlyOneOf their member Mill also left fot a few months and wheni Mill returned from the hiatus, he was bald, so people found it very suspicious and belived something odd had happend with Mill and Love. People rumored that Love most likly left cause his dad told him that he was unhappy with what happend to his son, since he apparently didn't liked that OnlyOneOf acts LGBTQ in many of their MVs. Nobody knows what exactly made him leave, but that Mill looked a bit sad when returning and was bald, people think the company was hiding something and we never got to hear what happend.
- Chuu had to leave LOONA and it gave very mixed reactions, since she said things against her former company and so people had either thoght she was brave standing up against the BS of her company but others thought she was a rebell when doing so and felt unsure about her. I think she re-debuted as soloist since then
- It was said that former EXO Luhan, who is now extremly famous in China aparently married his girlfriend (Last time I tried to look it up after seeing a news side talk on it I found barly any proof, so not sure if engaged or fully married)
- Former EXO Kris was also sentensed to prison after a scandal where his ex. girlfriend and a row of other girls said he manipulated them into getting r/ped by him and apparently (not sure if its true) China wanted to sent him to Canada since he is a Canadian Citizen, to spend his jail time there, but his own mom (rumor tho) would've said he was dissowned by her hart times so he should stay in China and since she (said the rumors) didn't want him to go back to Canada and that she wishes he stays in jail where he comited his crimes
- The boygroup TO1 disbnded last year and one of their Japanese members called Renta is now member of the JPop byogroup OCTPATH instead and another of their members is now trainee under the company Beat Interactive (known for the acts A.C.E and Forestella)
- Lucas was kicked out of NCT because of a lot shit that happend, mainly by people trowing random rumors around like he would be a total playboy and fuck around with different girls or that he was hatting his members. SM sent him onto a hiatus for about years and people wondered if he was really gone from SM or not, till he had his solo debut some months ago, but many people felt very unhappy for him comming back
- A row of former KPop idols aswell as Gunmin who is still member of B.I.G and some Japanese people had apeared on a Japanese survival show together and joined the winner group NIK, who debuted in the end of 2021 but NIIK disbanded in 2023 already. However most of the Korean member stayed together and are now in a JPop-project that is produced by Yonhak of Supernova (IDK if Supernova is still a thing, but the first time I ever heard of them was when in 2020 Yonhak made the Japanaese survival show G-EGG and than was involved into a scandal about illegal gambling in Japan where Japanese people wished he would go back to Korea cause they didn't liked what he did lol)
- Former TREASURE Mashiho re-debuted as JPop-singer this year
- TFN disbanded this year and their member Kevin is now aprentice in a hairsalon to become a hairdresser, some other members had been seen apearing at 1 Million Dance Studio since the group disbanded
- Rocky had left ASTRO and started a solo career
Oder stuff from the past few years:
- PENGATON didn't disband but the member have mostly left Pledis and Yuto debuted under a Japanese company as vocalist
- Yuta of NCT is working as actor in Japan, he was in about 3 movies so far alongside many famous Japanese celebrity
- JYP debuted a Japanese boygroup called NEXZ (The boy on my profile pic, his name is Naoya, was participant on the show, but was kicked out after the first episode and than joined a Japanese company where he debuted last year, the Japanese group is called MAZZEL and under the company BMSG)
- ATEEZ collabed on a song with the Japanese boygroup BE:FIRST
- EPEX collabed on a song with the Japanese group FANTASTICS
- CRAVITY became friends to Hayato of the Japanese boygroup ONE N' ONLY some years ago when they had been in Japan, now they apear on Hayato's radio show at least once or twice a year cause of thart lol
- The rapper Ash Island got married to the Japanese singer Chanmina this year and both are expecting a child
- Hybe has a Japanese trainee group called 24Kumi (no idea when they even are debuting)
- Mnet's Japanese company Lapone has now 5 groups since there are now 3 boygroups and 2 girlgroups, mainly with people who had been on the 3 seasons of Produce 101 Japan.
- NCT WISH, a Japanese group, is now the last one that was added to NCT. NCT isn't getting a new group since their concept ends wit this.
- SM is debuting a British boygroup soon with NO Asian members
- JYP and Hybe also do have foreign groups with mainly or only western members now, both have 1 American girlgroup
- KARA had a comeback after being disbanded for 8 years
- 2NE1 will most likly also come back soon
- Brave girls disbanded
No no no. You cant just come here and say anything. 2 days ago Brave Girls said they will come back.
Display MoreLADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE HAVE OUR WINNERS
We had 493 votes among 34 voters in the poll with 177 different idols nominated.
In first place we have a TIE for winners, with the winner of AKP's "The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2023" poll, aespa's Karina sharing the honours with Twice's Sana, both on 14 votes each.
Unlike the beautiful face poll, the competition was much tighter this time, with Blackpinks Jennie getting second place at 13 votes and a shared third place going to Natty from Kiss of Life, and Red Velvets Joy, at 12 votes each.
Representing 2nd Generation very highly in the poll was ex-SISTAR member, now soloist, Hyolyn with a healthy 10 votes.
Like the beautiful faces poll, there were some surprises as well. Such a Itzy's Yeji getting the highest votes for that group on 9, beating Yuna, who received 8 votes. Ningning again ranked highly, also with 8 votes. Given the memes and hype, I also expected Chaewon to rank higher than she did, but she came in a still respectable 9 votes.

oh, its time to pay more attantion to kpop again.
did i just watched the ass of a pink pussy?
Her audience doesnโt align with her fanbase
She makes music for the gays and girls but her fanbase is mostly horny men, and theyโre clearly not here for the music.
The only eunbi fans i know are ex izone fans. But they seem to pay a lot more attention to wonyoung or chaewon tho. Dont know how horny they are but they are mostly girls. ๐
Maybe those music critics dont see the achievements of Kpop acts because those achievements have nothing to do with singing or vocal ability.
If i wouldnt be familiar with Kpop and then see how Kpop ignored good singer like hyolyn but promote new younger but mediocre singer as the non plus ultra i couldnt take Kpop serious too. I would think they are kidding me.
more people than not have not or do not listen to Crayon Pop - does that mean the majority of people are tasteless?
even me??? I guess one man's trash is another's treasure!!!
yes. maybe not completly tasteless. but maybe majority of people have no ears or so.
Im sorry, but i like after we ride and chi mat baram a more than we ride.
Display MoreMany groups were failed by their company by giving them a bad follow up to a viral song:
Billlie released Ring my bell after their viral hit with Gingamingayo it was clear that K-pop fans were thirsty for a quirky concept and Billlie hit the spot yet their company failed by giving them a bad replica of Tom boy
clc with where are you guys I donโt understand how cube thought is was good idea to got from one extreme to the other
Red velvet having Queendom as follow up to Psycho is a crime honestly
Brave girls releasing Chitmat brama after rolling went viral was a very bad idea and donโt get me started on the styling of that concept
Mamamoo with whatever song that came after him do you imagine that they were this close to break into the international market but then they were never talked about again
chimat baram is a great song.
