i choose brave girls. i know this is about 2nd gen and not the 3rd gen i stan. So while the 2nd gen had some awesome songs like when it rains or nowadays you. i would usually choose t-ara and than some other groups like 2ne1, snsd, sistar who had a much wider discography and much larger legacy. but since op didnt explicitly excluded them and in that case brave girls works similar to akb48 with recruting new members i choose the most persistent group who is still active.

There's more reason to root for groups like GOT7, GFRIEND, BB GIRLS, B.A.P, LIGHTSUM, HIGHLIGHT (formerly BEAST), and the former members of LOONA.

going for the mainstream have many advantages in terms of guaranteed success, regular content, risk of disbandment. but the groups you root for gives kpop the tension.

its fine if the new groups from the big companies rule. i dont know about charts. but as long bb girls is active im happy to listen to them and whatelse comes in between.

They all spending a lot of time on holidays in other countries. Guam, Philippines, Vietnam is just what i remember from this year.

I saw them now because thanks to a friend i could attend those univerity festivals. They actually sing so its whole different level to the other groups i saw. And i met Minyoung on her birthday.

Enhypen starts a new circle of tours just after its last tour ended - will it happen to other Hybe acts?

Enhypen just finished a 411 days, 42 stops tours (Korea, Asia and USA) called Fate World Tour.

It ended on Sep 1.

However, on Sep 2, Belieflab announced that a new arc of tours will commence, called Walk the Line.

meaning Hybe is going to suck the last drop as long as it could. Its re-signing, which will flow into Illit's resigning, will probably not be pretty.

GFriend's departure basically made all Hybe acts quite insecure - they could be cut anytime.

Seventeen re-signed on 2021, and it is said that its second contract will expire in 2026. SInce they can produce themselves, it is quite possible that it won't continue with Hybe and incorporate themselves.

And who knows what will happen to BTS in 2027.

I don't know about Katseye since Geffen has a stake on it so I don't know how the contract is structured on it.

Karma is a b____ and GFriend is probably going to haunt Hybe for quite a while.

A company debuts a group and portrait them as perfect. some time later the very same company produce a scandal over the group. In the past it was ok just have this idol was seen smoking, that idol have a relationship or this idol hast been drinking. Now that people dont care about that anymore they have to step up the game to keep up the drama and people keep talking about them.

Maybe Hybe, mhj and all the groups sitting together and laughing because they are no.1 in the news and all the fans are super engaged. Doesnt matter if they support this group or that group. They get all the views and clicks and comments and money.

Its not like nj, lsfm, illit or bts doing so bad compaired to lets say lightsum.
