In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Some (You'll Be Mine) by Nature

Nature are one of the most unique groups of this gen. They have this distinct zany and fun sound (most of the time, they're a little all over the place with their concepts). I would say this song is kinda their signature sound though. It's energetic, fun, and has popping visuals. Everything Kpop should be!

Nature is still active, but they have gone through lots lineup changes. Gaga (the redhead) left the group shortly after this comeback. Sohee from Produce 101 was added to the group about a year later. Gaga re-debuted in the Chinese girl group NAME in 2021. Members are constantly being absent from promotions. It seems like when one member returns from hiatus, another member goes out. So we haven't seen the current lineup of 9 together ever actually. Since Sohee was added, all 9 members have never promoted together so that's kinda weird.

That went in a completely different direction than I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a typical run-of-the-mill K-Pop song but that sure changed in a hurry. The beat drop at 1:04 is intense and rivals most full-fledged club songs.

I've only listened to three of their songs - all recommended by you - and each one is completely different. They really do know how to work with a variety of sounds. It's hard to pick a favorite because they're all good in their own way. This one might get the top spot just because of that crazy arm dance at 1:11. It's so absurd which is why I love it so much lol.

That red hair is brighter than the sun. Even in such a colorful video her hair is definitely the focal point. I'm kind of curious to see what they will come out with next.

Sadly that's Gaga so she's the only member not in the group anymore. But yeah she was a star. NAME is lucky to have her.
