In this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Don't Be Mad by APL
APL's company had lots a couple fancam girl groups such as Switch and Icia. APL was their only boy group and they had more standard promotions as a group. This video is so cute, actually the girl in the video was a member of Switch. The member named Hyuk reminds me of Heechul. And of course the song is catchy and doesn't take itself too seriously, something I admire in a boy group.
Sadly APL didn't release music after this. They did still perform at festivals for a couple years though and even gained a new member in the process. Member TIN released his solo in 2019 (still under APL's company) but that's around the time they stopped giving us updates and probably around the time they disbanded. Although some of the members still include APL in their bio. Lots of the members started enlisting in the military too, but APL isn't the type of group that can survive a hiatus that long nor even have a fandom to return to, so I think a comeback is unlikely.
