On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Sorry I'm Happy by Davichi
Davichi are just the best. Their vocals, nobody in the industry even comes close. And their melodies are so beautiful and actually pretty catchy. I feel like Kpop fans assume oh it's a ballad so it's gonna be boring, but I genuinely love their music so much and jam to it. They're all songs that you can listen to a million times and never get bored too. This is one of my favorite, if not my favorite Davichi songs. It was a hit in Korea but international fans don't know it. Plus it was less of a hit than their other title track (Cry Again) from around that time.
Davichi are still active and one of the longest running groups of all time in Korea. Yeah it is only two people, but it's still impressive that they've been dominating Korean charts since 2008. Their last comeback, Fanfare, came out about a year ago. It's more upbeat than most of their songs if you're interested in that. Also Haeri got married!
