On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Strange by Masc
Masc were one of my favorite boy groups when they started out. They had an edge to them that most boy groups don't. They got a little bit of attention with this debut, with some people saying it's their favorite boy group debut ever. But their future was very dark.
Masc made one more comeback with this lineup. Then they added four new members to the team and came back with a bubblegum cute concept. Fans were confused and the concept change was not received well. Then one of the new members,Chibin, announced that he had been physically assaulted by one of the original members ACE and that he would be leaving the team. ACE admitted to the claims and also left the team. Two more members left the group after this mess. They were left with two original members and two new members. They made one more song together and eventually disbanded in 2020. Chibin was a predebut member of the group MustB. He is going to re-debut in a group called OCJ. Woosoo is active on youtube and posts covers. 26 became a film director.
