On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is For You by Lovelyz
One of the more popular groups who has appeared on this series. This was their first comeback after Ah-Choo and it's actually a really good song. One would think it would have been a big hit. Well, I think the problem came with the promotions. I distinctly remember this comeback just kinda happening, their was no promos hardly at all. Also I think this song sounds very spring-like, but the music video is very summery and the song came out in...December. So lots of dumb choices that made this comeback get overlooked when it could have been a bigger hit. Sales were bad and even the fandom seems to forget about this song, so it is a worthy entry for this series.
Lovelyz had a relatively successful career though never hit it big. They got their first win a couple years later. They only ever won on The Show and no other music show. The competed on Queendom and people were underwhelmed by their stages, but they did see a boost in album sales with their final comeback, Obliviate. The group disbanded last year when their contracts were up. Only BabySoul stayed with Woolim Entertainment. Mijoo has blown up in popularity and is now under Yoo Jae Suk's label. Yein joined a new label and has been pursuing a solo career. Kei is now a musical actress and was in the musical Death Note. Jisoo is under Mystic promoting as an actress. I'm pretty sure Soojung found a new label as well but hasn't been very active. Jin has given up on the entertainment industry and works at a family restaurant. She does however regularly vlog on YouTube.
