On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Halo by BBde Girl

A talented group the world was not ready for. The music video is the embodiment of $5 and a dream. Even though the music video isn't much, the song is really catchy. The main vocal for this group was really talented too, she was a former HAM member.

Sadly BBde Girl quietly disbanded a few months after this song came out. It was their first and only comeback. The only real update I have is that the maknae, Nanah, was the only semi-popular member. Prior to debuting in BBde Girl she was in a comedic K-Drama Rude Miss Young-Ae. She now lives in Seattle and posts regularly on her Youtube channel. Sujin (formerly Li-V in the group) debuted solo in 2017, but hasn't released music since 2018. She is now a vocal coach.

I just went and listened to their other songs and I think Hey Boy is good. The Messing Around video is quite a bit better production-wise than this one, but I prefer listening to Halo and Hey Boy.

Yeah a little too much autotune on messing around although it is an earworm. A very 2012 sound. Halo is more bold and doesn't sound as dated.
