On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Drawing The Line by Royal Pirates
Royal Pirates were basically The Rose of the 2nd gen. Painfully underrated, but a band people have heard of, but nowhere near as popular as CN Blue or FT Island. This song is just so awesome. It's the type of song you love after just one listen.
Royal Pirates unfortunately had a very unlucky future. James, the bassist, broke his arm and was unable to play. He started to learn the piano instead and the group released a couple MVs in late 2015/early 2016. Then they went on hiatus and we didn't hear from them again. James made his solo debut a couple years later. he had success in the Philippines and Singapore. Lately he has been writing songs for Jackson Wang and Angelababy which have been #1 hits in China. The two other former members re-debuted in a band called LIVIN. The vocalist also did an OST for "So I Married an Anti-Fan." That's about all I have for updates.
