On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Shake Ur Body by Swincle.
One of the older entries for this series. Swincle was a five membered girl group that debuted in 2011. I just find the chorus of this song to be very addicting. After all these years I remember "ba ba ba ooh ooh ohh oh oh oh shake ur body." They just don't make Kpop like this anymore.
Swincle sadly never got to make a comeback and the disbandment was sad and a little scary. Their manager and CEO got into heated arguments frequently. The manager demanded a high salary and wanted rights to kick members out of the group. The CEO refused these demands and the manger beat him up with knives and baseball bats. They also stole his money, his phone, and his car. The CEO later reported what happened to the police, but there was a witness who is a CEO of another company who vouched for the manager. Stockholders also threatened to sue the CEO for going to the police and the manager threatened to kill him. So, this shit that goes on behind the scenes is insane. As far as the members, most of them have given up on the celebrity life. One member re-debuted as the leader of Year 7 Class 1. At least that group lasted a long time together without any lineup changes. Another member re-debuted in 2013 in a trio called C.L.O, but they disbanded after debut.
