Are boy groups getting less handsome?

not really

there were a lot of unattractive male idols in the past as well

that said, the handsome ones imo were much more attractive in the past

mostly cause i prefer less of a soft uwu childish aesthetic

Compare V when he debuted and him now. he was a child. I can't talk about visuals when idols are children.

Anyway, i definitely don't agree because i find all idols handsome.

I feel like ggs debut already polished and looking good but for boys it takes a while to grow into their features and develop their visuals

Exactly. They will grow up and their facial features will eventually develop better and mature. It's just unfair to compare them with already grown adults.

there are visuals in 4th gen, juyeon is one of the prettiest men to ever enter the kpop industry for instance. the same can be said for Lucas from nct ( despite the current circumstances).

I think when you were young, your choices and exposure of male visuals are limited hence why you think 2nd or 3rd gen BGs are more handsome compared to 4th gen (your pool of choices are much larger now).

Overall, 4th gen have more visual idols than in the past. Enhypen is all visuals imo. In the past, u have visual lines that are incredibly good-looking but now it seems like a requirements and looks are more catering to global standards too.

SM 2nd gen idols were serious eye candies.

Seeing a group of pretty women is more common that seeing a group of good looking men. Like u can go outside and will see plenty pretty girls while men look like...yep

Its the same logic here even with stylist and a whole team to fix u up

tbh i agree with this when it comes to TOP visuals, 2nd and 3rd gen TOP male idol visuals are more impressive than the top 4th gen visuals so far imo.

There's no L Myungsoo, Cha Eunwoo, Nichkhun (at his peak), Minho or visual lines like the ones from got7, exo, nct, vixx... Most of recent bgs lack that it visual

Idols back then debuted very young too. Taemin, Teen Top members, Ukiss Dongho, nuest, Jungkook, Yugyeom and Bambam, etc

I wonder if Kpop labels are finally putting talent over looks. And this applies to GGs as well. I've noticed that no one talks about the visuals of any of the groups that debuted from 2019 onwards, and the ones that do get talked about arent in the same class as Sana, Tzuyu, Mina, Jisoo, Jennie, Irene, Miyeon, Heejin, Wonyoung, Minju, Sakura, Hyewon, Eunbi, Arin, etc. The only exceptions seem to be the some of the girls from Aespa and Yuna from Itzy.

I think thats only for ggs, for boygroups talent has gone down (except my faves)

Not when TXT, Enhypen, and The Boyz exist. They have some of the best visuals right now

Sooo are TBZ (The Boyz) a 3rd gen or 4th gen group???

I was in the middle of making a 4th gen thread involving a member of TBZ, when I suddenly stopped to ask myself if they were widely enough considered to even be 4th gen? I know this is probably going to be somewhat debatable but anywayzzzz, what do you consider them? I've seen some people say that TBZ and pretty much any group after them is considered 4th gen, but I've also seen people put TBZ and other groups who debuted around the same time as 3rd gen.
