It seems like kpop companies are setting up themselves to release multiple girl groups and boy groups in the span of a year. A devaluation from the trend we saw during the third gen where groups normally had at least a three to four year gap in between. Especially with the increase in amount of survival shows not just by Mnet. It seems like 4th gen will be plagued with overcrowding.
Are 4th gen groups getting rushed out

out with the old and in with the new????

I don't understand why the government doesn't have a rule to limit having many trainees for a long time and debuting too many groups within one company. It's getting ridiculous.

Butch I not getting a PhD in kpop. Wtf would I need citations etc. Take it or leave

I feel that other than hybe and jyp,no other known company is rushing debuts. It's the nugu and recently created companies where the problem is. They barely have money to make a good mv yet they are debuting groups and adding members each month. I expect a new wave of nugu ggs after gp999 finishes. Sadly most of these rookies don't even last 1 year before hiatus or disbandment

Not if they clearly define differences between groups. NCT 127 and NCT Dream debuted in the same year but they have vastly different sounds and have been able to support sales, tours and careers. TXT and Enhyphen are a year apart and again have vastly different sounds. Companies are appealing to different segments in the marketplace: one can a have cute pop group, an intense hip hop group and a darker concept rock-leaning group all launch within the same time within cannibalizing each other's business.

oh . . .ok
