I still listen to Sheesh almost daily, truly a timeless classic. Ahead of it's time even.
It's not THAT bad. I had expected to hate the song from the trailer but I actually think they managed to do the "Sheesh" decently without it being too grating. But I get it.
Their discography is mid overall but they have few bops

i know i might be in the minority, but kpop MVs without dance scene are usually flop no matter how good the scenes are
The same happened with Off the Record and it could have been much bigger. Rebel Heart should have a good mix between the scenes+ some point dance moves (like I Am MV)

Suzy can end every so called "It Girls" from every gen since the 3rd. Even today. Her only competition were always IU and Yoona. That's all.
Karina is really popular, but the fact is, today's "It Girls" are not as big as they were back in the days. Also, let's be real, no one would care about Jennie and even Karina if they're not a member of a popular group, but Suzy and Yoona did it without their groups.
I don't want to bring this up, but still, Hwasa did it alone without any massive PR or popular group, and she still holds records that no one can achieve. Even if she's not charting that good anymore, she's still massive in Korea.

yes thats why lesserafim was the only hybe girlgroup that did not get massive playlisting until crazy.
Perfect night in total has only 61m playlisting. Smart has only 36m playlisting yet it was the most streamed 4th generation girlgroup song last year.
Super lady had 32m playlisting yet the diffrences in total streams is almost 200m.
About spotify discovery......almost all popular groups are using it rt now and we already see how much other kpop group used youtube ads so Do youthink Other groups won't use spotify discovery mode??
This is the trick LSRF don’t have playlists like Illit or NJ but HYBE push when they think their songs can have some longevity. It started with AF it was pulling the same amount of daily streams for months, they didn’t push Unforgiven because it was a flop then pushed PN since easy wasn’t well received they didn’t use discovery mode.
And not everyone discovery mode because it means less royalties.

It seems like an odd choice to debut another group, especially with the recent VHCA controversy. But it's not exactly as if the current JYP groups are mismanaged flops like everyone seems to imply. They may not be charting well but NMIXX and ITZY are still selling tons of albums, so it's not like the groups aren't successful in that way. Same with Twice. In any case, the best promotion in the world cannot change the fact that the music coming out of these groups is mid. In fact I would say MIDZY is a very appropriate fandom name since their fans clearly enjoy mid music.

JYPE doesn't promote their groups right.
SM plays favorites. The rest basically get pushed backstage.
YG is just greedy. They aim for fast success and domination.
Meanwhile HYBE is all of the above but you can't say they don't promote their groups.
