I. Introduction
Jimin is a member of the group BTS. He debuted with them with the release of their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool on June 12, 2013.
II. Career
During middle school, Jimin attended Just Dance Academy and he learned popping and locking dance. He also learned contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts, and was a high ranking student in the modern dance department.
A teacher suggested that he should try auditioning with an entertainment company. His search led him to trying out at Big Hit Entertainment. He passed the auditions sometime in 2012. He transferred to Korean Arts High School, and graduated there in 2014.
Jimin debuted with BTS with the release of their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool on June 12, 2013. He has had three solo songs with BTS, Lie, Serendipity, and Filler.
Jimin's first solo work was with Jungkook on Christmas Day. Jimin wrote Korean lyrics of Justin Bieber's Mistletoe. The two later did a cover of Chrlie puth's We Don't Talk Anymore. Jimin sang the part of Selena Gomez in this cover.
In 2016, Jimin also made some variety show appearances such as Hello Counselor, Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, and God's Workplace. He MC'ed for Show! Music Core and M Countdown as a special guest. In December, he did a special dance duet at KBS Song Festival with SHINee's Taemin.
Jimin's first solo song outside of the BTS releases was Promise, which was released on December 30, 2018.
Jimin majored in Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University, and graduated in August 2020. He is currently studying at Hanyang Cyber University for a Master of Business Administration in Advertising and Media.
Jimin also released his second solo song Christmas Love on December 24, 2020.
He, along with the other BTS members, also received an appointment from South Korea President Moon Jae-In for Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations in July 2021.

- Before Jimin debuted, he almost decided to go with either Baby J, Baby G, or Young Kid as his stage name
- When Jimin moved to Seoul, he was self-conscious of his Busan accent
