4th Gen Dancers are a disappointment

There’s always talk about how 4th gen idols have a bigger focus on dance, but all the best dancers in the industry are still from 3rd generation?

I wouldn’t say I have a particular favorite, but just looking at the top tier of dancers in the industry such as: Jimin, J-hope, Kai, Taemin, Ten, Lay, Hoshi, Rocky, Taeyang, Byeongkwan, Shownu, Dino, Yugyeom, Taeyon, Hoya, Gikwang, Eunhyuk.

Where do you see a 4th gen idol? Particularly in the male spectrum.

Then for girl groups:

Chungha, Lisa, Momo, Seulgi, Seungyeon, Boa, Hyoyeon, ect. With the exception of the Chae sisters, particularly Chaeyeon, there aren’t many other female idols from 4th gen who belong on this list

Maybe it’s just about perspective. I can agree with the average level of dancing being raised from previous gens, but 3rd gen still has the most talented main and lead dancers by a large margin on average.

I’m not sure where I said 4th gen idols can’t dance. The core of my OP is the fact that 3rd gen has way more impressive MAIN dancers on average compared to the highly touted “dance focused” 4th gen. If you think of all the best male dancers in K-pop, they’re literally from 3rd or 2nd gen in some cases.

As for girl groups, Itzy is the exception not the norm. And yes, on average 4th gen dance skills are probably higher due to more focus on dance, but most main dancers are mediocre compared to the best in the industry.

No one can disprove that fact

Not other girl groups, I meant there are some 3rd gen female dancers who I consider a little better then Chae/Yeji, but again for the 100th time, Itzy is the exception not the norm. They’re one, if not just the best female dance gg by a large margin.
