On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is Dream by RGP
RGP is a fictional group from the Kdrama idolm@ster. It followed the lives of 10 different girls and their experiences that lead them to this debut. The music on this show was AMAZING and this was the main title track. Honestly all the members of this group are so likable, I was really rooting for all of them. Each girl's story is based on their real life story (like Sori struggling with her age, Mint having rich but unsupportive parents, Yeeun starting out as a singing waitress) The Kdrama also has the famous actor Sunghoon as their manager. I recommend the show, it's better than that Imitation webdrama.
Many of the members are still active in the industry. The girl with the purple jacket left the group before the show aired and she was replaced by member Jiseul. Suji, Haseo, and Mint all competed on The Unit. Suji actually got 9th place and got to debut with Uni.t. Meanwhile Yeeun, Sori, Youngjoo, and Yukika competed on Mix Nine and Sori made the top 9 as well. Sadly nobody on Mix Nine got to debut. It looked like RGP was going to continue as a real group and all the members wanted to, but easier said than done. They all went on their own paths. Mint has been active in Thailand filming youtube videos. Youngjoo debuted in a duo with her sister called DewSisters. Cocosori has disbanded and Sori has been promoting as a solo artist since 2018. She got attention on a dancing variety show for her chemistry with one of the male contestants, but they broke up. Jane, formerly of The Ark, has been focusing on her studies. Yukika, has developed a cult following and is a pretty successful solo artist known as the city pop queen. Suji I think is trying to pursue acting.
