On this series we remember songs that have been forgotten or were never even given the attention they deserved. Today's Hidden Gem is I Wish by I

One of the worst stage names ever! But one of the best songs ever! She kinda reminds me of BoA, she's such a talented dancer and vocalist. Plus she has her own unique sound to her. Also she is Baro of B1A4's sister and they were in the same label. She seemed to have so much potential to be on an artist like Chungha's level. Also the timing was kind bad because WJSN came out with their song I Wish like a week earlier.

Sadly this was the only song she ever released. She competed on The Unit but left due to health issues. She later left her label and hasn't released anything since.

But still, just a squandered debut. She had the hype of being Baro's sister during a time when B1A4 was big, had Tiger JK on her debut title, and had a decent amount of attention, and WM just did jack all with it. Which is kind of surprising because they didn't fall on their face with B1A4 and OMG, so who knows why they dropped the ball here.

I think they just didn't know how to promote solo artists. Most middle tier companies usually botch solos up.
