How do you know your faves are the best if you mostly only listen to 1 group

I mean. Literally. Like WHAT? You are not a fake stan if you dont think your groups is the best at something. Heck they also probably think that way so that they always stay humble. You can like them for 100 other more reasons. They are not gonna kill you.

And 1 more thing, if you want to judge something, keep an open mind and not a fixed mind. If you are already thinking something like "I dont think I will like their song, their voices are probably not that great" all kind of bxllshxt. Isnt it kinda defeats the point of judging?

Listen, you are not a fake stan for saying your fave is not the best at a particular thing. But you are a fake person lying to yourself.

Do people forget that there is a thing called casual listeners?? It is not necessary to stan every group that one listens to…

I don’t think I would ever assert as fact that my ult groups are the best - there’s always a heavy disclaimer that *I* think they are the best in a number of different measurable things based on what I’ve seen, but I also am always here to listen to, watch, discover, hype up other great talents.

For BTS, I *will* assert as fact that they are the biggest, most successful, and most currently culturally relevant - because metrics don’t lie.

But tbh, I don’t expect anyone, whether or not they think I’ve listened to a thousand groups or only one to listen to my opinion on who I think are the greatest. I can give you reasons and justification for my opinions on what I’ve experienced and witnessed, but if you come at me and tell me that the dance remix of the Tellytubbies theme tune is the greatest thing you’ve ever heard and healed you when you were struggling, then you go off, you stream that Tellytubbies madness until the cows come home.

Why does this reminds me of this girl in a discord-server who gets mad at you when you talk about something thats not NCT and if you ask her for her opinion she tries to call you dumb insults or tries to block you by beginning a random convo about NCT

User 1: "Yo I recently got into MONSTA X"

User 2: "Oh cool, what is your fave song so far?"

Girl: "OMG We do not talk about that here"

User 1: "Oh OK? Sorry..."

Girl: "So let's talk about Mark lee"

User 3: "Yeah did you saw the video where Mark..."

This happens like ALL the time ... and I kid you not besides NCT she tried to listen to BLACKPINK, BTS, EXO and said she don't likes them at all so she gives a crap on other groups thinking they suck the same amount o.o thats so weird

(And since SUPERM also has non NCT-member she doesn't even likes them)

1. Everyone thinks their fave or ults or whatever is the best to them - thats why they ult them. They dont need to explain either or validate it.

2. Not everyone is into Kpop like that. Some are here for their faves and if their faves left they would prob dip too.

Now, if they claim to be all super into kpop but only listen to 1 group you have a case imo.

It's true, you can't tell if they're the best if you haven't heard the others. But you don't need to be a multi, you can listen to others casually. But, honestly, if I listen to 3 songs and I don't like them, I lose the interest to listen to the rest.

hence why i give a lot of groups a listen but the group with the best music might still not be my favs...

there's a difference between having good/great music and fanning the actual group (to me at least)

I'm a multi-follower since 2009.

I've went through the discography of bts /twice / BB /RV & decided BP really has the best out of the bunch 🔥

I have listened to many many girl groups' titles that I feel is enough to construct realiable subjective view on which girl group is the most suitble for me.

I think I give everyone enough chance to be my fave.

Best music for everyone? That is not for me to decide

i don't have the luxury of listening to hundreds or thousands of idol groups/acts.

so, i am gonna be a hypocrite and say my faves since i can listen to 20+ groups/acts only.

And anyways it's a subjective thing for everyone. I listen to a lot of groups and I like my faves the best. Similarly someone else could like music that I utterly despise. It all depends on a persons musical taste.
