Are You The Same Person Online In Real Life? If Not, What If Your Online Persona Has Become A Person Exposed To Your Real Life?

I'm more talktive online than in real life.

Obviously, not the same. We are trying not to get cancelled and end up in the streets. online you can say anything you want when you are hiding behind your screen nobody knows your identity. I wouldn't say I'm too different tho, just more careful.

Yeah my morals remain unchanged. Will they be a little shocked that I’m this invested in a bunch of random celebs. Prolly a little bit. But like other than that I rarely say something I’m ashamed about.

Online persona is same as my work persona which is basically way more polite/reserved than how I am with my friends and people I meet outside of work? I actually pissed off a work friend once because they could tell I was being kinda fake and not acting like how I actually do but I can't turn it off if this is the mode I take lmao

I think it's due to being in situation where misunderstandings are easy (and in the case of work, consequential)

Hmm... personality-wise, I feel like I'm the same and different in some cases.

I'm definitely not as social as I am online and pretty quiet. But I talk a lot and am loud around my friends.

I'm pretty much the same personality wise in real life as I am online. Although, I'm much more quiet in real life compared to when I'm online.

I am almost the same irl except a little less bubbly or happy.

irl im much more awkward and scared to say my opinions. also im less comfortablle on talking about what i like irl. i think im a bit more meaner when im on twitter tho

I think I’m very similar in all aspects. The only real difference is I’m even more dramatic irl.

and I'm so different irl compared to online, irl circumstances kind of block me from acting how I wish

I am an introvert so I won’t butt in other people’s convo in real life, unlike in akp where I can just post my comments anywhere. If you notice usually I won’t carry a conversation long in akp because I just don’t have the energy for prolonged back and forth. In that sense, it’s similar with the real me.

I'm the same. Way back in the early days of the internet, I made a rule for myself that the person you see online is the same person you get IRL. It's extremely important to me that my online and IRL personas actually match. I feel like I'm not being genuine if they don't match.

No I am way more "controversial" in real life lol. I try to be more peaceful online but I love causing chaos and pulling jokes on people. But people here don't understand my humor (because they're too old/young)

Oh, I’m exactly the same here as IRL. I have never wanted to hide behind an online persona. That’s part of the reason why my profile pic is me, rather than a random pic. It’s just me, like it or not.

People who meet me online have said I'm nice and relatable. But the moment they meet me irl, they say I'm unhuman, unrelatable & too professional, like I lack human characteristics.

How much ever I try to be the same, there has always been a difference.

I guess appearance & body language also play a huge role in our real life personas.

So I guess my answer is I'm the opposite.

I'm almost the same, pretty straightforward and don't care much if people don't agree with me. I try to be nicer irl because well it's better not being confrontational with people you see often
