SNSD just isn't that active as a group, and Mamamoo just had their 1st comeback this year as a group right?

Yeah, I think it's pretty well known that Sakura's core fanbase is based in Japan and China.

Chaewon is definitely the most popular in Korea. I'm more surprised that Eunchae is higher than Yunjin, but then again, Eunchae's fanbase has been growing since Anti-Fragile and her becoming a music show MC.

Honestly, I think that if Yujin was not in IVE, people would talk about her more.

The K-media focuses so much on Wonyoung that Yujin gets over-shadowed. Like, all she did was get spooked by a fan and use an I-Phone at a Samsung event and K-media made it into a whole controversy.

I think if we looked at this list based on groups, New Jeans would probably dominate.

New Jeans as a brand is just that big. Chaewon has had a lot of time to consistently build her individual brand from being in 2 big GGs and being one of the most popular members in both groups.

Yes, and I think they do that because the K-media focuses more on Wonyoung.

I-fans usually hype up which ever group or idol they see being talked about most. Success stans at least. Whoever the translator sites talk about most, that's who I-fans focus on. Most of the translator sites don't talk about Yujin a lot. The people they usually talk about are Karina, Wonyoung, and New Jeans.

Yujin is definitely mentioned too, but when I-fans see 15 different translations of articles about Wonyoung, then that's who they focus on.

We can clearly see based on the results of the YouTube searches and all the CFs Yujin has that she has no problem being recognized in Korea as being amongst the top in the gen.

Every comeback she goes viral, so I think it only makes sense for her to be #1.

I thought Chaehyun or maybe Xiaoting would make the list.

Chaehyun since she's their most popular or Xiaoting since she's the visual and main dancer.

Plus, even WooAh!, Triple S, and Kiss of Life had people make the list, and they sell even worse than Kep1er. I guess I underestimated how much Kep1er has lost the interest of the public.

Well, we also have to consider the platform. YouTube for KPOP has a lot to do with performances and variety, which is not really what Wonyoung is known for.

But, I do think that overall Wonyoung is the most individually popular and Karina would be 2nd currently.

Some of their biggest variety shows and programs are distributed through YouTube.

According to Statista/CNN, over 46 million people use it (that's 90% of the population), so I think this is a pretty good gauge on which female idols "individually" have some of the most attention.
