Not for the reason you've mentioned because I'm usually pretty particular about who I stan. I have a "3 comeback" rule and if I like the discography enough after 3 comebacks, I stan them so this usually elimates the issue that you mentioned. There are a few exceptions where I like a song and group so much that I am confident that the future releases will also be good.

Usually if I unstan a group, it'll just be because of time constraints. It takes a lot of time, energy, and money to stan a group, I used to think I can stan 8-9 groups but as I'm getting older, I realize the realistic number is closer to 4-5 so if I unstan a group, it's usually meants 4th - 5th spot got overtaken either by better music or group got disbanded.

there's only group i really stan and that's my ult, twice. then i have the 2nd tier which is basically like "groups of interest" and i lose interest in groups pretty often so i guess i kinda unstan in a sense? most recently les sserafim and weeekly.

No, i will stop stanning if the group stops caring about their fans. Or if the members are revealed to actually hate/despise each other. I know there is always some form of acting involved when doing fanservice and i know not everyone will be close in a big group (even Izone), but if i were to find out that actual hate/contempt existed, that would get me to stop stanning right quick, either the members involved or the group as a whole.

Plus, even if the music gets worse, there will always be the old tracks to tide you over. I never liked a single Izone title track but i stream the shiz out of their legendary B sides and spend 24/7 in Izone crying hours watching their fanservice content.

Absolutely, who hasn't? A group isn't going to put out certified gold hits every comeback. I have unstanned groups because of a decline in their music and I don't feel ashamed of it either.

I think it happened once. But it wasn't only songs I didn't like, it was also a mix of losing interest on them as individuals plus realizing I didn't like their performances a lot. So they went from being my bias to just another group I like and support

What happens more often is me being so close to stanning a group because I liked a release then they release something I don't like so I never end up becoming a fan

BP is the prime example. I don't really like their music since D4, and after that I've always felt a litte bit disappointed with their title tracks and all but I love my girls so much so I can't see myself unstanning them In fact I listen to Twice more and can see myself enjoying their albums but I can't fully click with the members so I can't see myself stanning them either

Yes, back in 2015. It was also then that I realized Kpop was becoming boring/unappealing for me with the same old rehashed concepts/gimicks/sounds and with songs that barely had anything to say. Alot of my IRL multi kpop friends were mostly in it for the visuals, which made them go through alot of groups at one time, not really caring much for the music or the messages. Thought I would leave forever ..lol until I discovered BTS' songs in 2016 after a trip to korea. Started stanning in 2017 and they are still the only one since then.

I only stan about 3 groups really, Izone, Loona and Fromis_9, about among my most listened groups, EXO and BTS were my go to boygroups. Unfortunatly, I think BTS post Boy with Luv have songs that are not my taste and because they don't have release that I appreciated much I just don't listen to them much anymore. It's kind fo weird cz I still like their previous songs very much but idk because they don't have new release that I listen I also tend to not listen to their old songs.

I didn't stan but I did lose interest in Nine Muses from Drama - disbandment and T-ARA after Sugar Free. It was a shame, as I loved their previous songs

Yup. IKON, BTS, Wonho, EXO. The songs are no longer my cup of tea so there is no need to feel guilty about not stanning. Maybe I listen to one or two of their songs from time to time but that's all. There is no need to feel bad or force yourself, it's kinda normal for your tastes or their direction to change.
