Do you ever feel like you have to prove to certain people that you're a fan of a group you stan?

    Like, for example, I went on a hiatus but before it I commented in every single thread about a group and their members that I saw and was pretty active about making threads about them myself.

    Then today I felt like I was being called out as a non-fan, despite stanning that group for years.

    I don't know why people think we have to prove ourselves to THEM? Like, I know who I stan and support.

    I know who my favorite groups are.

    I know I got nothing to prove. But it still feels weird to be questioned.

    What gives people the right to feel so superior?

    Makes sense. I don't wanna feel like I need to prove anything either, especially because I know who I stan. I think people doubt and attack multis a bit too much.

    Everyone has their own way to be a fan. They can't expect from people to be fans in the same way as them, we're all different.

    You don't need to prove anyone you're a fan of someone, just make it work for you :borahae:

    don't let others tell you what you can and can't do...or for that fact how to be a fan...


    look at me for example I can say that I'm a fan of quite a few GG but I've never spent a cent on them, I've never streamed their songs and I don't attack nor defend them...I still consider myself a fan and if others don't think so so be it ...no water off my back


    I think the thing is as soon as you come to the realisation that you don't have to conform to the norm of what a fan is then everything is hunky dory!!!!

    Btw, I had that once too. Not here but in a other forum. At first I was sad but then I was "ok, and who the hell are you?" Never let them bring you down. You are your artist fan and not theirs :pepelove2:
