  • I. Introduction:

    WEi (위아이) is a six-member boy group under OUI Entertainment. They debuted on October 5, 2020, with their first mini-album, Identity: First Sight.


    Jang Dae Hyeon is a former member of RAINZ.

    Kim Donghan is a former member of JBJ.

    Kim Yohan is a former member of X1.

    Yoo Yong Ha and Kim Jun Seo are former members of 1THE9.


    All the members had participated in reality shows before.

    Kim Donghan and Jang Dae Hyeon were contestants on Produce 101 Season 2.

    Yoo Yong Ha and Kim Jun Seo were contestants on Under Nineteen.

    Kang Seok Hwa and Kim Yohan were contestants on Produce X 101.

    Kang Seok Hwa was a contestant on YG Treasure Box.


    Jang Dae Hyeon and Kim Donghan are soloists.

    II. History:

    Pre-debut

    On June 17, OUI Entertainment announced they will be officially launching their new boy group, tentatively named OUIBOYS, to debut in the second half of 2020.


    On July 10, their new name, WEi, was announced along with the four members' names (Jang Dae Hyeon, Kim Donghan, Kim Yohan, and Kang Seok Hwa).


    On August 12, 2020, OUI confirmed that Yoo Yong Ha and Kim Jun Seo, who were previously in the project group 1THE9, would be joining the group.


    2020: Debut with Identity: First Sight

    A trailer for their debut mini-album, Identity: First Sight, was released on September 11, confirming their debut date to be on October 5.


    2021: Identity: Challenge

    A teaser for their second mini-album, Identity: Challenge, was released on February 6, confirming their comeback date to be on February 24.


    A teaser was released on May 23 for their third mini album, Identity : Action, to be released on June 9.

    as a member of the project group RAINZ
    on October 12, 2017. They disbanded a year later.

    2019: Solo debut
    He made his solo debut on August 24, 2019,
    with his first single album "Feel Good".

    On October 25, 2018, Yoo Yong Ha
    was introduced as a
    contestant of Under Nineteen
    with his moving poster.
    The poster revealed that he was a part
    of the rap team. He finished in sixth
    place, thus becoming a member of
    the project group 1THE9.


    On April 13, 2019, the group officially
    debuted with the mini album XIX.
    1THE9 officially disbanded on August 8, 2020,
    following the release of their
    final mini album Good Bye 1THE9.

    group survival show Produce X 101
    representing OUI Entertainment.
    He finished in first place, thus becoming the center of X1.
    The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019
    with the mini album, 비상 : Quantum Leap.

    However, on January 6, 2020, the agencies representing
    the members announced the group has disbanded
    due to not being able to reach an unanimous
    agreement following the Produce 101 vote manipulation controversy.

    2020 (1): Solo debut
    On August 17, it was announced that Kim Yo Han
    will make his solo debut on August 25 with
    the digital single "No More". Concept photos
    were released from August 18 to
    August 20 with the first music
    video teaser being released on the August 21.

    in episode 8 and finished in 35th place.

    Later, OUI Entertainment announced
    on August 20, 2019 that Seokhwa had signed with them.
