we were literally defending Jennie of people trying to dismiss her popularity lol I feel you your projecting yourself because that's how you usually behave though you aren't as bad as before.

I acknowledged Karina's popularity in Korea but we argued she wasn't bigger than Jennie as whole . My post is more me tying to hype jennie and kind of an appreciation post about her. I didn't expect her popularity was still strong today if Im honest.

This is my last reply but it annoys me people try assume something that is not.

yeah like people are acting like we are trying to be petty when that wasn't the case. we all agreed that both girls had impact in different ways. Though we argued that Jennie was bigger internationally. Also it's easier to post new updates about Jennie that support our argument

I think we can all agree now that Jennie is that it girl. I don't think any female idol can come close to what she has achieved this year. Ngl I didn't think jennie was gonna blow up like this (after 9 years) but she is trendy once again in Korea, ( which is hard to believe most people move on from female idols easily) her huge popularity is real. I knew she was popular even without promoting, but I didn't know she was gonna do that well domestically and internationally. Not to mention her huge popularity in the Korean entertainment.

also most of the songs from Jennie's Ruby were charting on melon hot 100 when she released her album and currently like Jennie is on the top 10 ( which is mostly in English)

I would have said nope it's too early but the girls can sell out concerts and that's really impressive given that they are only rookies. People want to see them because they know they put good performances.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I like jisoo's album not sure if I like it the most ( since she only has 4 songs) yet but it's up there. I wasn't sold on flower and all eyes on me but I am on this one. I still think she gonna give more and I'm looking forward to her full album. Her b-sides are they type of music I like to listen to in general. I like the production it's an upgrade from her single album. I haven't listened to Jennie's album yet but I can tell it's gonna be the most versatile out of all the girls. I resonate with the style of music she listens to so I'm sure I'm gonna be pleasantly surprised.

I still need to finish Lisa's album but I feel more drawn to new woman kind of style more so her more chilled songs rather than the rap heavy but I'm glad she didn't leave that side of her. About Rosé I do like a lot of songs of her album but number one girl is my jam. I can feel her emotions.

exactly, we actually need a real and unbiased critique because for me this one doesn't count. if they have a personal vendetta against an aritist/group they should decline and let someone else do the critique.

there was a post on another platform saying that pitfork reviews are low especially about Kpop artists as they are biased, but I didn't know the author went out of their way to purposely write a negative review. That only shows we shouldn't take pitforks seriously.
