I. Introduction:

AB6IX (에이비식스; known pre-debut as BRANDNEWBOYS) is a four-member boy group under Brand New Music. Originally as five, they officially debuted on May 22, 2019 with their first EP B:Complete.

II. History:

2017-2018: Pre-debut

- In April 2017, Youngmin, Donghyun, Woojin, and Daehwi participated in *Produce 101 Season 2*.

- Woojin and Daehwi debuted in Wanna One, promoting from August 7, 2017, to December 31, 2018.

- Youngmin and Donghyun formed the duo MXM in September 2017.

2019: Debut with *B:Complete*, *6ixense*

- AB6IX, previously known as BRANDNEWBOYS, debuted on May 22, 2019, with their first EP, *B:Complete*.

- Their first full-length album, *6ixense*, was released on October 7, 2019.

2020: *5nally*, *Vivid*, Youngmin's departure, *Salute*

- Released their first digital EP, *5nally*, on February 13, 2020.

- Their second EP, *Vivid*, was released on June 29, 2020, after Youngmin's DUI and departure from the group.

- Released their third EP, *Salute*, on November 2, 2020.

2021: *Salute : A New Hope*, *Mo' Complete : Have a Dream*, *Mo' Complete*, Japanese debut

- Released *Salute : A New Hope* on January 18, 2021.

- Released their fourth EP, *Mo' Complete : Have a Dream*, on April 26, 2021.

- Released their second full-length album, *Mo' Complete*, on September 27, 2021.

- Made their Japanese debut with the mini album *Absolute 6IX* on November 24, 2021.

2022: *Complete with You*, *A to B*, *Savior*, "Chance", *Take a Chance*

- Released *Complete with You* on January 17, 2022.

- Released their fifth EP, *A to B*, on May 18, 2022.

- Released their second Japanese mini album, *Savior*, on August 17, 2022.

- Released their first special English single, "Chance", on August 24, 2022.

- Released their sixth EP, *Take a Chance*, on October 4, 2022.

2023: "Fly Away", *The Future is Ours : Lost*, *B:Complete (2023)*

- Released their first Japanese single, "Fly Away", on May 10, 2023.

- Released their seventh EP, *The Future is Ours : Lost*, on May 29, 2023.

- Released their remake album, *B:Complete (2023)*, on September 22, 2023.

2024: *The Future is Ours : Found*, *Trap / Grab Me -Japanese Ver.-*

- Released their eighth EP, *The Future is Ours : Found*, on January 22, 2024.

- Released their third Japanese mini album, *Trap / Grab Me -Japanese Ver.-*, on July 3, 2024.

III. Trivia/Facts:

The name AB6IX stands for "ABSOLUTE SIX," symbolizing perfection when the five members and their fandom are together. It also abbreviates "ABOVE BRANDNEW SIX," reflecting the group's goal of opening new horizons for Brand New Music.

Youngmin, Donghyun, Woojin, and Daehwi participated in Produce 101 Season 2. Woojin and Daehwi placed 6th and 3rd, debuting in Wanna One, while Youngmin and Donghyun placed 15th and 28th, respectively. Additionally, Youngmin and Donghyun are part of the collaboration project group YDPP with Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music.
