I have bought albums from Red Velvet, Mamamoo, BTS and Purple Kiss and I stan them all but BTS and PK more loosely than Mamamoo and Red Velvet. I would like to buy abums from Twice, IU. Hynn, Dreamcatcher, (G)-Idle and aespa but I don't have an unlimited budget for this.
Do you only buy albums from groups or soloists that you stan ?

I only buy things I will enjoy by people I stan.
Like I'm a hobby gardener, so when J-Hope came out with this, I knew it was going to be mine:
I buy albums as well and use them also as decor - I'm one of those people that like to have little vignettes. So my office has artfully placed BTS items/albums amongst other pieces of artwork and family pictures. I'm a very design oriented person in general.

If its Brave Girls buy first, think later.
Also buy everything two times so in case one gets damaged or lost you still have it.
Whats budget? just work more.
Are you talking to me when you say "work more" ?
-
Nowadays I only buy albums that I want to collect. Talking about kpop albums, I've only bought BTS, Shinee, TVXQ and G-Dragon's Heartbreaker albums. I listen to a lot of music of artists I don't really stan, and I don't need to buy their albums because I already have all their music in Spotify.
In the 2000s it was different, I needed to buy CDs to be able to listen to music, so I bought a lot of albums of artists I wasn't really a fan of, but I enjoyed their music.

not only you, but yes. if you wanna buy more albums while not have the budget, you can earn more money by working. i do this all the time and it turns out very well.

Yep....

In some countries, people under some ages are not allowed to work.
we have laws like that in my country. that didnt stop me from doing stuff for family and neighbors. damn gouvernment allowed me to give them a share of my work and let me pay taxes when i got 13.
if there is a law in your country that would stop you from buying an bts album how much would you care about that law?
but i understand that not everyone have the same abilities or opportunities. some need to work for month some need minutes. its pure luxus so its not that serious anyway.

I'm an adult and I work, but when I was 13 years old I got money from my parents. No one in Spain pays money to a MINOR for doing stuff that a professional should be doing. And in Spain you can work from 16 but you need your parents permission to have a LEGAL job (with a contract) until you are 18.

me too. me too. but you cant even go to the town center sing and play some instruments and people throw some coins? neighbors who save some money let you mow the lawn or paint the fence for some extra pocked money instead of pay a gardener? At age of 13 we can do part time jobs like in holidays. as soon as we were old enough to carry drinks crates i worked at my grandparents beverage trade. handling those beer kegs where kind of risky for such liddle ones. but i survived. and half the time you were just sitting in the truck driving to the next deliverypoint. it was easy money. oh and if you have internet. there are all kind of people who pay you for all kind of shit. kpop fans for example.^^

There are people who sing and play instruments but they are adults. If children do that in my country, the authorities can look for their parents and ask why their children are alone in the streets asking for money.
Here no one mows the lawn or paint anything for neighbours. People paint or mown their own lawn themselves or hire a professional (having someone who is not a professional doing that is called intrusion in my country and can be punible, especially if it's done by minors. And having your own children under 15 working is considered explitation as well. Some people do it, of course, but they don't tell.
About the internet, yes, it's easier to find stuff to be done there. My boyfriend's sister, who is 17, sells her drawings there. But that's perfectly legal, since you're selling a product, not your workforce.
I can't believe that I am explaning that child labor is not a good thing
-
Americans defending child labor as if its some kind of advanced achievement or something. I'm...
-
Nope. Only buy albums for groups I stan
Even with a full time, professional and well paying job, kpop albums are too expensive to buy any old group (especially with shipping more than doubling the cost), and I also spend money on non kpop hobbies. My city has no bricks and mortar shops that sell kpop albums that I can buy off shelf.
Saying that, earlier this year while in Sydney I did buy a copy of Love Dive as it was "cheap" by comparison to what I usually pay.

lol, yeah in some of the bigger cities the streat musicians have to make an audition so they are allowed to play in the streets to make sure they are good enough and dont annoy the people.^^ but in smaller towns where the police officer is your uncle the people are more tolerant.
also usually our authorities try to serve the people not mess with them when there is no reason.
and kids who sing and play instruments used to be a pleasure not a reason for trouble.
so its allowed in your country with 15 but if its a year earlier in another country thats not a good thing?
there are douzends of laws to protect children. like how many hours they can work, how heavy they can lift, how often and how long the have to take breaks. they still have to go to school. but besides thats it sounds like discrimination. when kids grow up they have to take part in every day life and work is part of it. you make it sound like kids are forced to do labor.^^

I should have specified, I have the budget but I just don't want to spend money for more Kpop albums right now so I will wait before buying them. I need to save money.
I find your answer a bit harsh though mainly because you know nothing about my personal situation. I could be unemployed, disabled, a student with a loan or a single mother with two kids. I am none of that but I am a nurse who works in a public hospital more than 50 hours a week. I am already severely overworked because there is a massive resignation movement among nurses in my country due to lack of financial and human resources so your take was not it.
