I'm actually shocked at how akp doesn't talk about 3rd gen anymore

The Third Age of Kpop has fallen into legend. BTS is on hiatus and BP will probably soon be. MMM seems like a group in name only as well, they're a collection of soloists just like how i think BP will be come September. OMG might surprise with their new comeback but the highlight trailer sounded mid at best. Brave Girls are gone, Gfriend is gone, RV hasnt come back in 15 months i think. April, Apink, Lovelyz, Laboum, AOA, EXID, Momoland are either defunct or passing into history as well. Seventeen and NCT are fandom groups, and EXO is a collection of soloists at this point as well.

The last attempts by 3rd gen to claw back relevancy seem to rest on the solos of JK, Tae, Jihyo, other Twice or BP members. Aside from these, we will probably never see a 3rd gen group on top of Melon Weekly ever again.

If so then I guess I need to talk more about 5urpise, Boys Republic, B.I.G, Bigflo, Lovelyz, The Legend, Snuper, Vromance, Voisper and SF9

cos unless you are talking about those groups you mention, nobody engage

when a new gen starts, the clock starts ticking for the previous one. At first people stops careing about the less successfull groups, then for the middle successfull and while the super successfull stay, they eventually will became a not so much talk about theme ( example: Big Bang, SNSD and so)

While Red Velvet is a great group, they are second to BP and Twice. And even when they are unlucky lately with their comebacks. People don´t even engage much on those news.

Wendy has a solo coming up not too far from now, so Red Velvet will be mentioned a little bit then .

you have to be crazy to think bp is gonna be on hiatus unless you talk about releasing music but always happened though Iblackpink is gonna renew I'm sure or probably did why are you so eager that to happen? I've never seen someone who claimed to be a blink wanting them to disband so bad

I think 4th gen girl groups stay in the digital thread while 3rd gen groups ( bts,bp and twice) are in the main forum lol

Red Velvet has not comeback in 15 months ? Mamamoo seems like a group in name only ? Both groups last comeback were in November 2022 and Mamamoo is releasing music soon when Red Velvet just had a tour this year, that's why they did not comeback in 2023.

3rd gen is done, only crusty Army, Blinks, EXOLs and Onces are still active and care about 3rd gen. And the three Reveluvs.

Basically the most high profile and highly active 3rd gen groups with the fans that brag the most about their flopping :P

Could be because fans think that only BTS and Blackpink count for third gen. I prefer third gen to the current one to be honest.
