They’re trying to make it seem as though a new concept is being introduced through Nmixx, probably to separate them from the other groups in the Kpop industry, but in reality they’re creating nothing new.

K-pop has been mixing genres since like Igab by gg, maybe even before that. Nmixx are gonna have to try something different for their comeback, cause I have a feeling this type of mashups won't work long-term

Literally a couple of songs in 1 and It sounds so smooth.

I liked Nmixx's songs, but yes, It's nothing new.

Several groups have done the 2-songs-in-1 before,but it's either just one song or it takes up a very small part of their discography.

I guess what JYP is saying here is that this will be NMIXX's trademark and go-to style,so you can basically expect it every comeback.

Can jyp stop trying to be "innovative". No one looks to jyp for innovation and when they try to innovate it's nothing actually new.

SM doesn't do anything new either but at least it's new to kpop. Jyp should just do what YG does and play to their strengths.

in next level you literally go from a EDM/hip hop type of song with a very energetic bass riff to a sudden beat drop and you suddenly listening to a groovy upbeat jazz before transitionning again to the EDM/hip hop section

Sorry, but the king of mediaplay is and will always be YG.

He managed to sell - and have entire hordes of K-pop fans parrot after him - that only YG groups and idols were the only 'real artists' in K-pop.

And that long hiatuses were a good thing.

And that BP had surpassed BTS.

And that YG and his groups weren't about the money or popularity, but only about making good music.

And that no YG artists had done any PS (even when Minzy later on admitted she had done PS).

And constantly exaggerating and overhyping their groups' results and achievements by official accounts (especially with the comparing to other top groups incl BTS etc).

And on and on.

YG is and forever will be the master of bragging, boasting, bluster and overhype mediaplay

I think Jyp meant that he had been experimenting with the mix genre recently because I'm sure SM has been mixing songs since generation 2nd or 1nd, probably. SNSD IGAB, SHINee Sherlock, Fx Red Light, Red Velvet Zimzalabim.

i can't wait for my faves, NCT, to jump on this new trend
