Their latest comeback Heya is a bop and magically beautiful but sadly it didnt get the recognition it deserve. No Rak and Music Shows win. seems like they slowly losing the momentum because they manage to compete with big name like Bigbang, PSY, Blackpink etc before.. what do you think IVE & Starship need to do to gain back their momentum and put IVE back on track ? its kinda insulting for IVE legacy as Aespa, Gidle and even Illit manage to get RAK for their recent comeback.
What can IVE & Starship do for their next comeback ?

unpopular opinion: Just stay the course.
Baddie did a pak, but it also did a pak when ULs across music platforms at a historic low.
Heya peaked with 55k ULs more than Baddie. Unfortunate timing led them not to reach number one on charts, or gets wins (due to seventeen and spot basically double-teaming them).
Plan the timing better and I think everything is okay.
-
Chill, they are barely 3 years old
Only 3 years old? Mhj would be absolutely delighted to see them
-
There is some feedback in So...Can we uhhhh discuss the elephant in the room? - K-POP - allkpop forums
Also don't release at the same time as a YG artist if your scared of being reverse viral marketed by YG.

I meant the groups age, like, they debuted barely 3 years ago
-
-
They just need to choose a month that isn't super stacked. They reached over 320k ULs which is usually more than enough to hit #1 on Melon and they did get to #1 on YouTube Music eventually.
Also Dives need to stop letting themselves be gaslit by toxic SM/HYBE stans, IVE has to be the first group ever to get doomposted for "only" peaking at #2 on Melon.
-
-
Lmaooo they are still doing well
They were #2
If jennie and Zico didn't comeback and block them they would have reach #1
And would have tons of music wins if seventeen didn't comeback around the same time
But i honestly think they should go back to their more feminine/elegant type of song
They seems to have went a more girl crush vibe for the past 2 cb baddie era + switch era

make better music

i agree with you. Heya did pretty well at #2. It would have been #1 at most other times.
On the remark of peaking #2, aespa was repeatedly being made fun for not able to break the #2 curse. Same with lsrf until Perfect Night

I mean Next Level, Savage, and Spicy all went #1 on Melon Weekly Chart lol

Kpop fans are so obsessed with charting they generally ruin the experience of your group coming back. IVE charted well and sold a shit ton of albums. Y'all are crazy to call that anything other than a success. This is why I generally ignore forums when my group releases music. I stress about this dumbshit to much and forget to just enjoy the music.
-
-
They are doing very well as they are imo.
Their music this time around is good, they are charting well and and they are selling well.
What really matters for longevity is that people enjoy your music (good charting) and that you are generating profit (sales, touring, cf). Ive check both boxes so there is no issue.
Being #1 and music shows are just for bragging rights.
-
-
the only thing they need to do is not ruin anything
because for now since debut they are doing all things right
Their previous era was one of the biggest mistakes for a top girl group ever, even if it charted well, sold lot of albums, that's not the point, it transformed then from one of the strongest kpop girl groups ever, like they were legit in pace to be top 5 in history with twice, blackpink and girls generation, to what they are now... right now they are hanging in the current top 5 by miracle with aespa and gidle surpassing them, lesserafim being too ahead and newjeans being light years away... all that while illit and babymonster are approaching very fast.
For the ive fans that don't care about these things, don't mind, ive will most likely be fine no matter what. I mean as long as they are with kakao they will do fine on kcharts and with the fandom they amassed until now their sales will be great, and in any moment they have the possibility of repeak, they also have the 4th gen it girl helping them to stay relevant, but the truth is the future is not looking as bright as it was before for them. From a possible top 5 girl group in history with a legendary run from eleven to I am, to slowly falling behind their peers is a drastic drop.

Honestly nothing, they just have to keep doing what they're doing, as long as they have fans buying their albums and concert tickets, they're doing nothing wrong. Personally I have nothing to complain as a fan, so there's no reason to try to cater to an unstable audience such as gp. Many groups managed to do well without making massive numbers on charts for a while, a lot of top groups and groups that are currently charting included. Don't see why should be different for IVE.
-
Ive going twice route, but without international support.
Just as i predicted years ago . They reminded me so much of Twice in some ways. But speed up version.

You've matured so much the past few months. I am slowly losing valid reasons to wage war with you
The old catzi would've been trying to snatch people's wigs off in a thread like this
-
Lol, not at all. I don't know what image you've paint of me Yama but I've always been mature lol. I enjoy being petty but I'm a very realistic person.

Whoever made Ive made al lot of amateurish mistakes.
1. Heavily rely on a hit girl and turning the group into Won and friends (maybe a bit of yunjin too but still). Promote all the girls well. Each should have basic vocal abilities and some level of star factor. So cast with care.
As of now, they should focus on promoting liz more for example. She got potential and is probably the best quality element in the group as a pop star.
2. No proper vocal line, people think that's it's not much but members like Gaeul and Eunchae just brings the groups coherence and quality down pretty bad, if anything they should have looked for another lead vocal instead like jo yuri or chaewon or winter.
this has a LOT of impact on their music and their musical versatily. Guys, voices matter! SM understood that long ago, MHJ too. Focus on vocally talented or intersting kids. Not on instagram models. Their first job is music not modeling.
3. Lack of vision and creativity: so they should hire a better creative director, one who forges a specific concept and plays around it, innovates but still doesn’t loses the essence of it. Otherwise it's just a mess and the public just gets confused. This is what is currently happening with Ive.
Just make good music overall. And try to bring something new or fresh once in a while, but again in coherence with the core concept.
That's it.

heya and accendio were actually well recived by kfans and ifans will lead them to have more expectations in their next cmb (unless they pull a fck ass baddie)
but the underline issue is that u thinka n2 across the board is bad, its just not
they just have do exactly what they did this cmb, specially musically wise
-
More songs like accendio

Hi,
Honestly - with this release, IMO it's setting them up further for a nice long career. I really think they'll have good longevity and with that will come with more appreciation from the GP down the line even if it's missing at this moment (in terms of RAKs, etc).
They just gotta keep doing what they are doing!

lol their music is fine. Heya and Accendio are great songs. It's just all about timing.
