Were they happy with it? I remember Taemin was not happy his new release was given to yeonjun. It's possible older acts who still put out new songs don't want to be called old and dusty.

Kind of refreshing they didn't hold back on the gore. Vampires are fun when they're messy.

Vocally Aespa are blessed and performance wise New Jeans although I do think Aespa have interesting performances if the camera work is good so I'll give it to Aespa.

Every year it's so shocking how scared they are of colour. Chinese idols blow kpop idols away.

I'm posting this purely because I believe Lee Know has massive potential as a soloist out of all the 4th gen groups. All of Stray kids have posted their solos and his sound is the most marketable to the general public.

He has two big problems to contend with one being that he's not the most popular member in the group and the second his group's sound is the opposite of his own. Can he make it on his own is a bigger question then just the basic Bop or Flop.

I think baby monster has better rappers but Nmixx is the group to watch if you want intense choreo with live singing.

GS was huge in a way that's impossible to recreate now. Like literally every single person knew that song, the dance etc but apt is still a song you only know if you're chronically online.

But that's how the market has changed. There used to be online + offline impact with popular songs but now it's kind of stuck mostly online. The vitality of apt is still impressive because I'm still hearing it a lot in non-kpop spheres which is a massive achievement.

Meovv is the only one I kind of like because I really enjoyed body.

It's a catchy song. Not rocket science to see why it was popular. Bruno made it easier to introduce but a boring song isn't going to go viral no matter how much money is pushed on it.

I value charisma over looks. There are many pretty idols with zero stage presence. Not interested in them. I prefer an idol who can catch my attention even if they're 60% on kbs.

Any idol who self produces.

I started listening to kpop when super junior was big and then I just stopped listening to music completely.

My friend kept trying to get me into BTS but I thought everyone surrounding them was nuts since I had never seen a single positive interaction between the fans online. I also didn't like any songs they kept hyping up so I didn't bother.

I've recently realised their rap line solos are good.

People come to kpop for the spectacle so yes dancing is part of that. Even people who have no clue who the kpop stars are expect dancing. It's how the groups have been marketed and no one is going to be happy with that aspect being taken out.

I framed the question in my head as who I would like to watch live and quite honestly it's Gidle, nmixx and Itzy.

Aespa's problem is that we never know when they're going to be lipsyncing so that's not the risk I'd want to take with my money.
