    Even though I feel like most kpop fans feel like the past was better, I still think this decade has been really solid.

    2020 cannot be compared to any other year


    2020 was when the KPop conquest of the world did take place

    2021 was when it began to shake because of Lee Jieun wresting K-O-R-E-A from BTS

    2022 was horrible because the K-O-R-E-A-N incels who wanted to destroy BTS got their way


    Once the Empire is dead, it is all moot so I won't comment on 2023 and beyond

    I don't think I can be objective, I would pick 2019 if I could because it's the year I got into K-pop. Then 2020 for the nostalgia. I don't think I was really paying attention from 2021-2022 or around the time Stayc and Ive debuted. I remember aespa's debut was exciting.

    LOL I guess most people agree it doesn't feel like anything that important happened 2021-2022.

    Not a kpoppie so I have nothing to say about the other groups.


    2020 and 2021 - BTS Global Domination. No one came close. BTS was unbeatable in terms of worldwide accolades, achievements and records.


    2022 -

    BTS still sitting nicely and still a Global Wall. Still the standard. They remain as kpoppies' hobby to compare BTS to their faves whenever a little achievement was achieved.


    Solo members started to make their presence known. Jhope's successful and history making solo performance at Lollapalooza as well as his highly acclaimed album. RM's masterpiece and critically acclaimed album. Jin's record achieving and nostalgic single.


    2023 - Waiting for the rest of BTS members to bring life to Kpop again.


    2024 - BTS in complete hiatus (enlistment) - A perfect way to give chance to others.


    2025 / 2026 - A new life begins - BTS coming to take back their rightful throne.
