4th gen edition: Your unpopular opinions about them

I‘m not saying this to be mean, because I really like her :

Yeji is an amazing dancer and performer, one of them best I’ve ever seen, but I feel like people overestimate her vocals and rapping a little since she’s that good at convincing you of her skills.

On a serious note people ridiculously underestimate their vocal line just because they're stereotyped as rap-heavy (how does that even make sense??), but they're by far the best among the current top three 4th gen boy groups.

The teen crush(?) concept has gone too far among girl groups, so many of those songs feel uninspired and cheap.

I mean I thought lily would be the most popular since she was the only known trainee until JYPN announcement but it seems like people are obsessed with Sullyoon I mean she’s pretty but the fact she’s overshadowing the best vocalist and she’s even more popular than Kyujin and Jinni says a lot

It would always funny how people are rooting for NMIXX because they can sing despite their songs not living the hype then people were saying they couldn’t stan Itzy because their music wasn’t really good.

Also it’s not about 4th gen but overall but vocal groups aren’t a thing, you take their golden singers and the group has 4 Selena Gomez but some people aren’t ready.

Soyeon is the only ace in kpop

Not sure how unpopular this is but I prefer Haewon's vocals over Lily's in nmixx.

Nugu girl groups are carrying 4th gen vocally, musically, and visually

only the nugu ones are still experimental or have a differing tone from the rest.

A couple of bad songs and Aespa's debut put an end to ITZYs short glory days. Not that I think Aespa will be any huge success in the future, but feels like they took the place ITZY had.

Overall when it comes to the girl groups that have debuted the last couple of years ( I don't want to call them "4th genaration", because it's more like 3.5 or pointless to use the term generations anymore), I feel like it's hard to them to have more than one good song. Some groups can debut with a song I like, or their second song is good, but after that it's like two-three boring songs in a row. No groups that have like three good songs in a row from debut and forward. It's more like for each good song you get two-three boring songs. That make is hard to find any new favorite groups.

How can you say aespa aren't a huge success when they have Daesengs in their rookie year.. multiple they literally owned 2021 for girlgroups I don't get how after all that people will still question or ignore aespa ARE a successful group.

4th gen isn't lacking the vocals ya'll think they are there are good groups out there you just ignore them for bigger company groups. Just because the big4 4th gen idols are lacking vocals doesn't mean all of 4th gen is suddenly doomed for all eternity. Just stan cherry bullet

Everyone in aespa can sing supported notes. Mamamoo is the only other girl group were every member can sing with support. By all definitions they're a vocal group they just don't sing live for whatever reason much to my disappointment..

P1harmony are amazing vocalists as well (didn't mention them because I talk about them ALL the time ) FNC produce some amazing vocalists and I don't think people talk about it enough
