I. Introduction:
KINGDOM (킹덤) is a seven-member boy group under GF Entertainment. They debuted on February 18, 2021 with their first mini album History of Kingdom : PartⅠ. Arthur.
On January 22, profile photos for the first three members: Dann, Louis and Chiwoo, were released.
Arthur was revealed as the next member on April 17, followed by Ivan on May 29, Jahan on June 30. and Mujin on July 31.
2021: Debut with History Of Kingdom series
At midnight on January 9, 2021, KINGDOM released their first teaser image titled "Gate Open D-40". 12 hours later, the group released the first MV teaser for "Excalibur".
In an interview with Hankyung, Ko Yoonyoung, the head of GF Entertainment, explained that the members represent "seven kingdoms and seven kings", with the first album dealing with the story of King Arthur.
The group released their debut mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅠ. Arthur, at noon on February 18.
On May 31, the group posted a teaser for their second mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅡ. Chiwoo, which was released on July 1.
On September 23, the group posted a teaser for their third mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅢ. Ivan, which was released on October 21.
2022: History of Kingdom : PartIV. Dann, Chiwoo's departure, addition of Hwon, History of Kingdom : PartⅤ. Louis
On February 17, the group posted a teaser for their fourth mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅣ. Dann, set for release on March 17. However, on March 14, it was announced that the album would be postponed to March 31, after members Arthur and Mujin tested positive for COVID-19. The album was then released on March 31 with the title track "Acsension".
On May 25, GF Entertainment announced that Chiwoo left the group and terminated his contract with them due to personal issues.
On August 31, Hwon was introduced as the newest member of the group. He would make his debut with them in their upcoming album.
On September 2, the group posted a teaser for their fifth mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅤ. Louis, which was released on October 5.
2023: History of Kingdom : PartⅥ. Mujin, Arthur's hiatus, History of Kingdom : PartⅦ. Jahan
On February 23, the group posted a teaser for their sixth mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅥ. Mujin.Three hours later, a teaser group photo was released, announcing the album would be released on March 23.
On April 25, it was announced that member Arthur would be going on an indefinite hiatus due to health concerns. Since then he has returned and has been working as usually with the group during the Lotte Family concert and has been active on their official Instagram.
On September 19, the group posted a teaser for their seventh mini album, History of Kingdom : PartⅦ. Jahan. On September 26, the group posted the comeback scheduler, revealing that the album would be released on October 18.
