my delusional looking forward to lineup: (with kinda realistic reasons for going)
1. IVE - debut

4. Dreamcatcher - they're doing pretty well!
5. Everglow - don't let yiren flop
6. Loona - i just want them to get their first paychecks

probably the more realistic ones:
1. Cherry Bullet - if they're not mismanaged to the fullest extent
2. Everglow - so i can be ok
3. Rocket Punch - are they on hiatus or smth?
4. Fromis_9 - they're finally getting traction after the mess that was idol school!
5. Chungha - listen... chungha hasn't been hitting for a while now
6. Lightsum

Since April has a scandal, Fromis_9 is my other pick.

WJSN would be another candidate but Starship is blacklisted by Mnet. So either Brave Girls, Apink, ITZY, Viviz, Momoland or T-ara as the other contestants. I can’t decide lol.

I'm not into loona so much anymore but they would be the perfect choice for these types of shows

Everglow needs to beg MNet to come on. They have bops but they aren't selling many albums. They need the boost.

Last I checked, the only requirement for participation is a music show win (since the concept of the show is to hypothesize the outcome if all the groups had a comeback at the same time). The only exception made was for the group that won through road to kingdom. So groups like Dreamcatcher, Purple Kiss and Lightsum are out unless the rules change.

Realistically

- Brave Girls

- Momoland

- WJSN

- Fromis_9

- Loona

- Kep1er as the rookie pick

Honorable mention

- CLC if they're brave enough to try as 4 member unit like btob did

- EXID

- Laboum since their story line would overlap with bg

- T-ara

- Apink

- Itzy (but it will be hard to find groups that can match them)

My delusional dream would either be the old line up all coming back for an epic rematch, or a focus on disbanded groups like 2ne1/After School/Kara/Sistar/Gfriend

StayC will be there or IVE. They need one group with public presence. And aside aespa, it’s only those two

Season 1 had no nugu groups.

lovelyz was probably the lesser know group, they still had songs make it to the top 30 on melon.

So as much as I would love to see dreamcatcher in the show (trying different concepts).

I doubt they are big enough to get invited.

A lot of these groups are more suited to Road to Queendom than Queendom tbh.

Remember the first Queendom lineup, almost all the groups had decent digital sales and a good level of public recognition. Don't bring Kingdom into this because it's a known fact that BGs aren't going to have the same level of public recognition.

We had:

AOA - Early 3rd Gen with multiple hits

Mamamoo - A Top GG, especially at the time

Lovelyz - Had a huge hit to their name + the biggest fandom and album sales on the show

G-Idle - An insanely successful debut and decent singles charting-wise

Park Bom - Legendary soloist

Oh My Girl - Smallest group on the show (back then), but even they had some decent hits and music show wins

So Cherry Bullet etc just aren't going to cut it tbh. They're too nugu. Remember, one of the main criterias, even for Kingdom, was that the group had to have had their first win.

So, my guesses are:

Apink

Fromis_9 (don't have hits, but they're a permanent Mnet group, so they might try to push them in)

Momoland

WJSN (if Mnet isn't beefing with Starship anymore)

Loona maybe if they want international clout. Everglow is too controversial.

Laboum, especially considering they have a proper hit now with 'Journey to Atlantis' and they resigned as well.

I was going to say StayC but their company and Mnet hate each other so that's not happening. If you would've asked me this a year ago, I would've definitely said April, but that's not happening.

In the first edition of Queendom, there was (supposedly) an unwritten rule: only groups who had a music show win (on Mnet or elsewhere) were eligible to compete.

If we follow that rule, it narrows drastically the number of possible contenders:

- CLC: they would have been a great addition BEFORE everyone bailed out but now, with only 4 members left, the group is basically dead (and their contracts are ending soon so an official announcement should happen before Queendom 2 even happens)

- Everglow: I think they would be a great candidate. I don't know how the Yiren situation affects the odds of this happening but I'd be down for it.

- Loona: another great candidate and considering the rumors about their agency's financial struggles, they might need it more than others.

- fromis_9: they could definitely play the role of the veteran group like Mamamoo in S1. Their recent surge in popularity would also help to bring attention to the show.

- Brave Girls: isn't it too unlikely? I feel they're too big for a competition show like this. They don't need this kind of challenge.

- STAYC: a great fit to the show. A logical choice.

Other possibilites that people mentioned: Laboum, WJSN, Momoland...

Then, you have aespa but they're too successful imo, plus SM doesn't go to Mnet I heard. IVE and Kep1er are maybe too new; Queendom S1 had no groups who were only a few months old.

Now with that being said, my own dream lineup would be significantly different:

- (G)I-DLE again! with Soojin of course (it's a dream lineup, remember)

- woo!ah!

- anyone else (I don't care, my dream would be fulfilled already)

A lot of the picks are way too nugu for Queendom. Queendom is for established upper-mid-tier to upper-tier groups (except the biggest groups) that are great performers. And mostly older groups with one or two younger groups.

A good line-up would be:

Brave Girls

APink

WJSN or Everglow

StayC or Weeekly

Dreamcatcher or Loona (not as popular in Korea, but they are different and great performers, so I think they would be a dark horse that adds spice to the show)

Chungha (If solos are allowed. She would be better than Bom for the show because she can dance. One woman group.)

Maybes:

Itzy (Good choice, but too big. They would win.)

Aespa (Same as Itzy, and I don't know why SM would want them on the show)

Fromis_9 (OK group. Never stood out to me)

Momoland (good fit for the concept, but I don't think they are good enough performers)

I want t-ara and brave girls

My delusional pick is Dreamnote. Sadly, they don't have a hit song, so they wouldn't really qualify and they're so unknown that very few people would vote for them (at least initially). They deserve to get a better chance at fame though and this could help (I hope). Have a great day/night!

Your realistic list isn't that realistic because one all the groups you listed are unknown except for Chungha and maybe Everglow also most groups you listed don't have a single show music win and the rule for Queendom is to have at least one show music win so to me this is the most realistic line up :

-Apink as the veteran group

-Chungha for the solo act or maybe one the IZ*one solo members

- Itzy

- brave girls

- maybe lightsum

- loona/Momoland

Monster rookies like I'VE and StayC won't be there because of the beef their respective companies have with Mnet l, actually Mnet has beef with almost every agency so these are the groups that have companies that gets well with Mnet

Momoland is an interesting choice, I did not think about them.

They had a great hit, but are not as popular as before, they could fill the AOA role (to a lesser extent).

All rules aside, Cherry Bullet. They need something. GP999 did not give them the boost they needed, but unfortunately, they probably won't make it.

I'd like to see ITZY on there too, but they'd probably dominate. But everyone thought Mamamoo would dominate that first season and G-IDLE held their own.
