I'm guessing they based this off of when she first released solo music? That's the only explanation I can think of.
Since 4th gen started in 2018 but it’s still wrong imo she has been on the spotlight since like 2016???
No one is saying Jennie, Lisa and rosé are 4th gen soloist. It’s just a way to make up new records even if what Giselle did is amazing but still

Correct me if I'm wrong, but like in terms of solo music only, didn't she debut as a soloist in 2019 with Birthday officially? I mean yeah she had the spotlight before that, but I think that's why they are considering her as a 4th gen artist. Since that's when she started promoting herself as a solo artist.
I'm not personally sure how I feel about considering her as a 4th gen artist, but I can understand why some would. If you disagree I get it.
I'm not sure how considering Somi as a 4th gen artist would be making up records to begin with since Giselle still beat her...

Giselle's account has 8000 followers. You mean she has 1M monthly listeners. An important distinction when the song has other famous people on it.
I'm a bit surprised that Somi didn't have 1M monthly listeners when Birthday came out. I think she had around 800-900K before WYWF came out, and listeners tend to be greater when a song is released, not a year later. Maybe TBL hadn't started pushing her on Spotify at the time?
