Boy groups fanwar was equally as bad as girl groups it's only really 4th generation boy groups that are civil although I do think 2020 onwards boy groups will change this

Because 4th generation girl groups somehow have stronger presence than 4th gen boy groups currently.

When one of the 4th gen boy groups has an actual hit, the competition will become more intense I believe.

On the more serious note personally I think there isn’t that much of a clear cut leading for girl groups so the competitiveness is bigger.

It’s more clear to see the boy group “ranking” with BTS standing above everybody.

As someone said, maybe because it's so obvious that BTS is nr 1 among the boygroups and I guess, without knowing, their fan group are so much bigger than the other fans that they don't have much to fight against?........
Also most kpop guys are fans of the girlsgroups (as I) and don't spend much energy on the boysgroups. Could be the mix of male/female fans creates more arguments among the girlsgroup fans.

bg stans tend to focus only on their groups. gg stans tend to focus on every gg that there is even if its just to hate on them. akp is full of living proofs

Its not just bts, even if you look at nct vs svt to number 2 spot the "fanwar" is so tame.

Bts vs Exo was wilder than any fanwar of the 4th gen. There was even a Bluehouse petition because of a fucking daesang

Well I dont even look around that much and see a lot of fighting between army & nct fans on twitter (even on akp you can see this just not as often). It also used to be worse with exo-bts years ago.

I guess the gg fanwars are more common since more than 1 group gets hits in korea. And it doesnt help bp are inactive

I would say both fanwars are equally crazy but Korean wise bg fans have been caught doing insane things in the past, like Sechskies and H.O.T. fans actually got into physical brawls.

I think gg fandoms fights have always been worse because the gg scene moves faster than the bg one and because ggs are more likely to get the public's interest which usually results in good digital numbers and CFs, so there are more things to compare and fight over for ggs than bgs who mostly only have physical sales.

I don't know the reason why as I don't stan too many girl groups, but the fanwars are certainly more heated especially since BP dominated scene and now everybody just wants to do comparisons which are so tedious imo. I find any fanwars annoying and prefer to stay right away from them.

Because girls were trained and conditioned to compete against each other? Possibly one thing culture has ruined for us. Another is that some stans take things personally when everyone can have a seat at the table.

You only see what you wanna see.. if you are invested in GGs, you will notice what is happening to GGs and vice versa. Like myself, I feel like the hate BTS and ARMY got from akp, first from ExoL and VIPs and then from Blinks were very bad (yup coed fanwars can be crazy too lol).

I personally don’t think Itzy VS Mys is that bad but maybe because I’m not invested in any of these GGs.

So to sum it up, it will feel bad and excessive when it’s your faves.
