It was a single not an album and they announced this even before we knew the name of the Korean release was going be alcohol free. Their Japanese timetable are a mess they don’t even try to coordinate with their Korean team.

Ikr...there's a lot of things that are done better on their Japanese side despite it not being as popular as the Korean side...
I feel like a lot of their Japanese music videos are better than some of their Korean ones -

Actually...he's kidding LMAO I'm pretty sure Twice's main focus is Korea but JYP also wants Japanese domination for them (JYP is usually the biggest out of the big3 that prioritizes Japan a lot in promos and music)

2018: BDZ (JPN)
2019: &Twice (JPN)
2020: Eyes Wide Open (KOR)
2021: Perfect World (JPN)
So it's almost obvious that they're going to do a Korean full album next year
