IVE Jang Won-young is embroiled in controversy in Korea over her "attitude."
On the 24th, a post titled, 'Jang Won-young is too much' was posted on Mom Café. In the leaked video, Jang Won-young is seen flinching at a male elementary school student who suddenly approached her and stretched out his hand towards her body. Jang Won-young flinches and rushes away. Afterwards, the student is pushed aside by staff who were following her.
The scene is causing controversy among Mom Café members who pointed out Jang Won-young's attitude. Members wrote, "Such an absurd thing happened from an idol that's loved by elementary kids.. she should've managed her expressions properly!"
Others came forward writing, "This is a bit sad.. I have a son his age that's also a big fan of hers. It's just a young kid, if only she had managed her expressions and didn't avoid him and smiled at him once, it would've been a precious memory for him for the rest of his life." "This is horrible, just look at the way she she looks at him, tsk tsk.." "Her face looks like something nasty touched her.." "Her true colors came out in that moment." "It's clear she never had a kind personality from the beginning.. " That's too harsh for a young kid..."
In response, other Mom Café members retorted, "It's wrong to touch someone else's body carelessly, it's natural that she flinched from surprise.." "He should be glad she didn't scream.." "Jang Won-young is someone's precious child too.." "Educate your kid properly!"
Afterwards, a war of words poured out on community boards and sparks flew throughout 'Mom Café.' Parent abuse has been a trending topic on the board due to the extreme choice of a first year homeroom teacher at Seoi Elementary School following criticisms from anonymous Mom Café members.
As a result criticisms in the community board between the members and elementary school students became overheated with some stating, "There are mothers with normal opinions here that don't deserve the criticism.. this has gone too far!"
